Biography
Canadian born violinist and violist Edith Szendrey founded the HPAF Junior Program in 2013, to the delight of many young students, parents and audiences alike. Of Hungarian roots, she holds a Bachelors degree in Music from the University of British Columbia. In addition to inspiring young musicians for over a decade, she has performed in many chamber music concerts with the San francisco Chamber Orchestra, the San Francisco Choral Society and the Arlekin String Quartet. She is an experienced and versatile musician, having worked with many local symphonies including the Marin Symphony and the San Francisco Opera Orchestra.
A sought-after pedagogue, Edith is currently the music director, orchestra conductor and strings teacher at the Greenwood School in Mill Valley, CA.
